3DS XL to get Circle Pad Pro treatment, become that much larger

3DS XL to get Circle Pad Pro treatment, become that much larger

Nintendo's latest oversized handheld not big enough for you? Maybe another Circle Pad Pro will help. According to Japanese gaming publication Famitsu, the Big N is poised to give the freshly announced 3DS XL a second analog slider. Pricing wasn't covered in the magazine's Nintendo Q&A session, but gamers in the Land of the Rising Sun should have their thumbs on it later this year. Oh, and in case you didn't hear, the colossal clamshell is getting its very own charging cradle too, sold separately for 1,200 yen ($15). Mum's the word on stateside details for the secondary slide pad, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it show up on foreign shores.

Small Business Owner: Obamacare is like putting a dagger through ...

The owner of Jersey Gian Subs in Michigan says that he wants to open three new stores, but if he does that will put him over 50 employees and Obamacare would then force him to provide insurance to all his employees by 2014 which would put him out of business:

An apology and applause to Chief Justice Roberts | The Business ...

? Is it ethical to sell ?Hoarders? merchandise? | Home

By Lauren | June 28, 2012

The big news item of the day is, of course, the Supreme Court?s opinion upholding the Obama Administration?s health care reform law. We?ll be hearing for the next several weeks what this decision likely means for American families, employers and states, undoubtedly with heavy spin from both sides of the aisle. (Then again, all those predictions may come to naught, depending on the outcome of the Presidential election. The guts of the law won?t take effect until 2014, and Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has already gone on record saying that he?ll repeal the law if elected, so all this flapdoodle may come to nothing at all.)

While the Court?s decision is big news, I was more impressed by an aspect of the decision that will probably fade from the public?s mind pretty quickly. When a friend asked me last weekend to predict what the Court would do, I reckoned that the law would be struck down in a 5-4 decision unless - and I thought this highly unlikely - Justice Kennedy broke ranks with the conservative Justices (Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Scalia, Thomas and Alito) to join the more moderate minority (Justices Bader Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan). Well, I was half right. Justice Kennedy stayed squarely in the conservative camp, just as I predicted. It was Chief Justice Roberts, whom I wrongly assumed would oppose the law because he?s usually pretty conservative, who cast the deciding vote to uphold it.

Judges, and particularly Supreme Court Justices, are supposed to vote based on their understanding of the law rather than their individual political preferences. Sadly, the Supreme Court seems to me to have become severely polarized in recent years, and I?m only one of many attorneys who?ve grown cynical about the political ?neutrality? of the Court?s decisions. Justice Roberts proved me dead wrong today, squarely stepping up to his responsibilities and basing his vote on Constitutional analysis, not personal politics. I applaud him for his judicial ethics, and apologize humbly for misjudging him. Well done, Your Honor!

Understanding Pulp and Paper Engineering - IdeaMarketers.com

Pulp and Paper Engineering More Details about Pulp and Paper Engineering here.

Pulp and paper engineering is, in simple terms, the process of taking organic raw materials or biological materials and turning those materials into a usable product. For instance, taking the organic waste from a paper mill and turning it into a new product is an example of pulp and paper engineering. The new product may be one of any number of items that is used in daily life, including biomass energy that can in turn be used to power the very plant that produced the organic raw materials as waste products. What is Involved in Pulp and Paper Engineering?

Pulp and paper engineering is often a complex process and you must have an engineering professional assisting you in designing an effective system and in maintaining that system. When you are considering pulp and paper engineering, look for an engineering company with a long track record of successful projects with pulp mills, paper mills, wood yards and other facilities that deal with biological or organic matter.

You should pay attention not just to past projects completed but also to the timeline for completion and to how comprehensive the engineering firm's services are. You want someone that can handle your project from start to finish, including wood yards, chip screening and materials handling systems. When something goes wrong, you also want someone who can respond quickly to problems and provide solutions. If you have an aging plant that has infrastructure in need of rehabilitation, then you should also attempt to find a company specialized in the process that can replace or retrofit as needed without causing too great an interruption to your mill. Examples of Pulp and Paper Engineering Processes

There are many different aspects of pulp and paper engineering that may be handled by a professional engineering firm. For instance:

* Pulping is a necessary part of the pulp and paper engineering process. After the materials come from the wood yard, the organic materials and matter must be converted into a fibrous material that can be utilized in various applications. Pulping can be done using machines and chemicals. * Machine design is essential to ensuring that the paper machines work reliably to produce the finished product. For instance, a chip screening system is an example of just one of many machines that may need to be incorporated into a pulp and paper mill for effective operation. * Ongoing maintenance and repair is inevitable in a pulp and paper mill and it is important to have an engineering firm with expertise in how repairs should be done. Both steel and concrete structures in paper mills are especially susceptible to deterioration, especially at the wet ends of paper machines and in areas expose frequently to chemicals. A system to prioritize repairs and to make those repairs by suspending and shoring equipment and tanks can help you to keep operations running smoothly. The right engineering firm can handle these aspects of pulp and paper engineering, as well as any other aspects of the process. Your engineering firm will help you to conceive of a project that allows you to make use of biological material, and will then assist you from beginning to end in making that project a reality.

EEG Test To Identify Autism In Children - Kiefit.com

The number of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has recently increased to one in 100. New research published in BioMed Central's open access journal BMC Medicine demonstrates that EEG can distinguish between children with autism and neurotypical controls. Autistic children showed a reduction in short range connectivity indicating poor function of local brain networks, especially in the left hemisphere regions responsible for language. However these children had increased connectivity between regions that were further apart indicating a compensatory mechanism...

Chrome Citadel Laptop Bag

Chrome (the bicycle accessories brand, not the Google browser) made its name among cyclists by developing extremely high-quality bags designed to survive harsh urban environments. Chrome's Citadel laptop backpack ($190, direct, available only in black) lives up to the company's reputation by giving tech-toting commuters a reliable way to travel with their gear. Whether your commute takes you along bicycle paths, through cavernous subway tunnels, or just down some gritty sidewalks, the Citadel ensures your laptop and other peripherals are securely strapped to your back.

Citadel Design
The Citadel manages to afford plenty of well-organized pocket spaces and pouches without overdoing it. At 21 by 14.5 by 10 inches (HWD), the Citadel comfortably stows nearly any size laptop. The backmost area of the bag runs the length of the Citadel and then some, as a Velcro flap enclosure at the top can be adjusted to make even more room for oversized items.

The next area, which zips shut, is amply lined with a soft fabric that prevents your laptop or other electronic devices from getting scratched. There's also a Velcro strap to securely hold your notebook in place, plus one more additional pocket for folders or papers. Facing the laptop on the opposite side is yet another, smaller zippered compartment, perfect cords and cables.

Three more pockets?two vertically shaped, one horizontal, and all on the bag's exterior?give quick access to essential items.

Chrome Comfort
While the bag isn't nearly as massive as the Chrome Berlin ? PRO ($220 direct, 4 stars), the Citadel's weight (4 pounds when empty) and arm straps (fit for brawny shoulders) aren't ideal for petite frames. I stand 5 feet 8 inches tall and have an average frame, and the Citadel did feel a little oversized for me during my test rides.

Despite its bulk, this laptop bag does have a uniquely sleek profile when it's not stuffed to the gills. Nothing ever rattles around.

The arm straps have good mesh padding that wick well if you have a very active commute. The bands for tightening the arm straps felt unnecessarily long, though you can tuck them into elastic rings to keep them from flapping while you ride or walk to work.

Like all of Chrome's bags, the Citadel feels supremely sturdy as if it will last years, making the $190 price tag a little easier to swallow. It's an outstanding bag if you carry a reasonable amount of stuff on an urban commute?unless you're small in the shoulders.

For cleaner laundry, add diamonds

5 hrs.

Laundry detergent laced with teeny, tiny diamonds removes fats and dirt at lower temperatures than the blingless variety, according to new research.

The nanodiamonds -- pieces of carbon less than ten thousandths the diameter of a human hair ? were added powder detergent to see if they could scrub out grime that typically requires hot water cycles to remove.

?We found that the 5 nanometer diamonds changed the way detergents behaved at 25 degrees centigrade (77 degrees Fahrenheit), doubling the amount of fat removed,? Andrew Marsh, a chemist at the University of Warwick in England, said in a news release.?

?Even at temperatures as low as 15 degrees centigrade (59 degrees F), otherwise hard-to-remove fat could be solubilized from a test surface.?

Without the diamonds, water temperatures between 60 and 90 C (140 and 194 F) are required to get such stains out of laundry.?

The lower temperature water afforded by the bling, the team notes, should help people save on their energy bills. Of course, they may have to spend that savings on the pricier detergent.

The research appears in the journal Applied Materials and Interfaces.?

Groundbreaking partnership seeks rapid cure to reduce treatment time from 6 months to 1 month

Seven pharmaceutical companies and four research institutions, working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, have launched a groundbreaking partnership that aims to speed the discovery of essential new treatments for tuberculosis (TB).

The partnership, known as the TB Drug Accelerator (TBDA), will target the discovery of new TB drugs by collaborating on early-stage research. The long-term goal of the TBDA is to create a TB drug regimen that cures patients in only one month. Existing drugs, all at least 50 years old, require six months to cure the disease a lengthy process that contributes to 20-30% of patients dropping out before completion.

Aided by nearly $20 million from the Gates Foundation, partners officially launched the TBDA in April and have begun the first round of screening for new TB drug candidates. The TBDA aims to develop five new preclinical drug candidates with treatment-shortening potential within 5 years and proof-of-concept for a one-month three-drug regimen within 10 years.

"The TB Drug Accelerator establishes a new paradigm of cooperation in drug discovery," said Sanofi Chief Executive Officer Chris Viehbacher, speaking on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry partners. "By working together on this, we can optimize our research and speed the development of one of the most pressing needs in global health."

Through this partnership, the participating pharmaceutical companies -- Abbott, AstraZeneca, Bayer, Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Sanofi will open up targeted sections of their compound libraries and share data with each other and four research institutions: the Infectious Disease Research Institute; the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health; Texas A&M University; and Weill Cornell Medical College. Breaking from traditional research and development practices, the companies will work together to develop the best prospects, regardless of where the drug originated. The structures of lead compounds identified through the program will ultimately be placed in the public domain.

"TB drug discovery has reached a crossroads," said Dr. Carl Nathan, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Weill Cornell Medical College. "Finding new and faster-acting TB drugs will take a new kind of partnership, connecting not only academia and industry, but drug company with drug company. The TB Drug Accelerator is a historic experiment in innovative collaboration."

Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that attacks the respiratory system and other organs. It is the second leading infectious cause of death worldwide, having killed nearly 1.4 million people in 2010 alone. At any given moment, more than 12 million people around the world are suffering from active TB.

The high percentage of patients who fail to complete the current six-month treatment regimen adds significantly to the TB burden. High default rates lead to increased mortality, contribute to TB drug resistance and allow patients to continue to infect others. Shortening treatment regimens to even two months would keep an additional one million people on treatment each year.

"Innovative partnerships are critical to helping us solve the most pressing challenges of global health," said Trevor Mundel, president of the Global Health Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. "It's our hope that the TB Drug Accelerator will set a precedent for drug discovery and serve as a resource for others."

The TBDA will add to existing collaborative efforts on TB, building a more robust drug discovery pipeline to complement other initiatives, such as Critical Pathways to TB Drug Regimens (CPTR), which works with the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development to speed the clinical development of new combination TB drug therapies.

(AP) ? The first seafood caught off Japan's Fukushima coastline since last year's nuclear disaster went on sale Monday, but the offerings were limited to octopus and marine snails because of persisting fears about radiation.

Octopus and whelk, a kind of marine snail, were chosen for the initial shipments because testing for radioactive cesium consistently measured no detectable amounts, according to the Fukushima Prefectural (state) fishing cooperative. They were caught Friday and boiled so they last longer while being tested for radiation before they could be sold Monday.

Flounder, sea bass and other fish from Fukushima can't be sold yet because of contamination. It was unclear when they will be approved for sale as they measure above the limit in radiation set by the government. The government is testing for radioactive iodine as well, but its half-life is shorter than cesium and thus is less worrisome.

"It was crisp when I bit into it, and it tasted so good," said Yasuhiro Yoshida, who oversees the seafood section at York Benimaru supermarket in Soma, which sold out of about 30 kilograms (65 pounds) of the snails and 40 kilograms (90 pounds) of the octopus that had been shipped to the store.

The March 11 earthquake and tsunami last year left the coastlines of northeastern Japan devastated, and displaced tens of thousands of people. Entire towns were contaminated by the radiation leaking from Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant, where three reactors went into meltdowns.

"I was filled with both uncertainty and hope today, but I was so happy when I found out the local supermarket had sold out by 3 p.m.," said Hirofumi Konno, an official in charge of sales at the fishing cooperative in Soma city in coastal Fukushima.

He said he hoped crabs would be next to go on sale as radiation had not been detected in them, but he acknowledged things will take time, perhaps years, especially for other kinds of fish. Radiation amounts have been decreasing, but cesium lasts years.

The octopus and snail were selling at almost half of what they fetched before the disaster, he said. But he said people were buying Fukushima seafood to show support for local fishermen. The items were available locally but not in the whole prefecture or the Tokyo area.

Nobuyuki Yagi, a University of Tokyo professor studying the fisheries industry after the disaster, said serious concerns remain over whether anyone would buy Fukushima fish, and the key lay in finding the types of fish that don't store radioactive elements.

"Fishing cannot survive unless people buy the fish. That may seem obvious, but Fukushima is facing up to this," he said in a statement earlier this month.

Farmlands have also been contaminated, and every grain of rice will be tested at harvest in some areas before they can be sold. The image of Fukushima produce has been seriously tarnished, and worried consumers, especially those with children, are shunning Fukushima-grown food.

"We are in for the long haul," Konno said in a telephone interview.

The Great Man Who ?Did Work An Iron Lung? | John Mckenna's ...

Can?t believe I?m doing a book review?

Bookworms who enjoy reading are better placed to do reviews, than I who hates reading.

I do however want to give a plug for Rob McNamara?s Autobiography that I have recently listened to as an audio book, very convenient, (great initiative field) as I wasn?t having to hold and flick pages.

Rob had Muscular Dystrophy and was ?The Great Man? who demonstrated just what and how attendant care supports can work with friends and volunteers before the days of government funding.

I?m proud to say I had met Rob on a few occasions when he was working with the Equal Opportunity Board Victoria and I at the time had a pretty heavy discrimination case with Re Creation Health and Fitness Centre in Armadale.

I will never forget his words of encouragement as we passed each other in the corridor, go get? m mate..

Rob?s autobiography is a must read/listen for anyone interested in learning how disability can be normal.

Everybody will have their own ?takeaway?s? after absorbing Rob story, for me they were.

  • Things haven?t changed all that much when we talk about natural personal supports for people with disabilities, apart from us all now having ?documented plan?
  • The revolving door at the hospital visits dude is Muscular Dystrophy
  • The importance of love and intimacy
  • The use of humour when communicating the right way

It is a brilliant autobiography that should never be put away and always revisited

Thanks to Cath McNamara for the picture, the audio and print version of this book are available from?http://www.field.org.au/?ph 03 99820101

(AP) ? Egypt's new president-elect, Islamist Mohammed Morsi, moved into the office once occupied by ousted leader Hosni Mubarak and started consultations Monday on forming his team and a new government, an aide said.

Morsi was declared on Sunday the winner of Egypt's first free presidential election in its modern history, following a tight race with Mubarak's last Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq.

The campaign had deeply polarized the country, pitting a former regime official and former military man? feared to be a continuation of Mubarak's autocratic rule but viewed by some as an agent of stability? against an Islamist.

Many supported Morsi as a representative of the uprising that toppled the old regime and a chance to challenge the military. But Morsi was equally feared among youth groups behind the uprising, which campaigned for a secular democratic state, and among many of the country's Christian minority. Almost half of the voters boycotted the runoff vote last weekend.

The victory of Morsi, the first civilian president to take over the country's top job, is a stunning achievement for the Islamist group that remained for most of its eight decades a shadowy organization targeted by successive regimes. He pledged he will be a "president for all Egyptians."

Now, Morsi faces a daunting struggle for power with the country's still-dominant military rulers who took over after Mubarak's ouster in the uprising.

Just days before a winner was announced, the ruling generals made a series of decisions that gave them sweeping powers, undercutting the authorities of the president, including passing the state budget __ and granted military police broad powers to detain civilians.

The generals, who promised to transfer power to an elected leader by July 1, say the moves were designed to fill a power vacuum and to ensure that no one person monopolizes decision-making until a new constitution is drafted.

Two days before the runoff, a decision by a top Egyptian court packed with former regime appointees also dissolved the country's first freely elected parliament, dominated by Islamists, including Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood. This left the military council also in charge of legislating duties.

With the parliament dissolved, it is not clear where Morsi will be sworn in. Authorities say he could be sworn before the country's highest court, but his group and supporters are pressing for the parliament to be reinstated, arguing that the court decision only disputed a third of the house's seats.

Thousands of Morsi supporters, backed by some liberal and secular youth groups who were behind the uprising, vowed to press on with their protest in Cairo's Tahrir Square to pressure the ruling generals to rescind their decrees and reinstate the parliament.

Tens of thousands had spent the night in Tahrir in joyous celebration of Morsi's win. By Monday morning, few had stayed in the square, which after nearly a week of a sit-ins, was reopened for traffic but a protesters' tent camp remained in place. Brotherhood officials said the protests will continue until the military responds to their demands.

On Sunday, President Barack Obama telephoned the U.S.-educated Morsi to congratulate him on his victory and offer continued support for Egypt's transition to democracy. The White House said Morsi expressed appreciation for Obama's call and "welcomed U.S. support for Egypt's transition."

Ali said the 60-year-old Morsi arrived at the presidential office on Monday for official meetings and consultations. He said his priority is to form a working presidential team until he finishes consultation over nominating vice presidents.

"His priority is the stability on the political scene," said Yasser Ali, a spokesman for Morsi's presidential campaign.

In an effort to rally support and heal national divisions, Morsi vowed to appoint diverse deputies, including a woman and a Christian. He also has reached out to other presidential hopefuls, who garnered popular support in the first round of elections.

Ali , the spokesman, said there were also consultations to form a national coalition government. The military-backed government is expected to resign later Monday, according to legal tradition after a new president is announced. Ali said he anticipates the government, headed by Kamal el-Ganzouri, would remain in a caretaker role because forming a new one "will take time."

Morsi faces enormous challenges of improving the economy and maintaining law and order ? both of which deteriorated in the post-Mubarak period. He has also promised he would nominate a non-Brotherhood member to head the government.

Amazon Studios adds first four original shows to its 'development slate'

Amazon Studios pulls back the curtain on first four original productions

Back in May, Amazon put a call out for budding screenwriters to submit their ideas for an original comedy or children's series. Now, four of the submissions have been marked up on the Amazon Series Development Slate, with more being added to a "consider" list. The chosen projects comprise three comedies, and one preschooler's show. By getting the Amazonian thumbs-up, the ideas receive $10,000 to extend the initial option, assistance to develop the script, and potentially a pilot episode. So, we might not be seeing them on our screens / displays just yet, but we're sure we're not the only ones paying close attention.

Too many wildfires caused by gun owners, says Utah governor (+video)

The Dump fire in Utah, touched off by ricocheting bullets sparking dry cheatgrass, became the 20th wildfire this year caused by target shooters. Many states, including Utah, are prevented from imposing emergency gun controls.

By Patrik Jonsson,?Staff writer / June 23, 2012

Emergency responders work on a wild land fire that is threatening homes in Saratoga Springs, Utah, Friday, June 22 About 1,000 homes are being evacuated after high winds kicked up a fire near a dump accidentally started by target shooters.

Some of the wildfires scorching the West this year were sparked by unusual culprits: Gun owners. Or, more specifically, gun shooters.

As with the Dump fire in Utah, which flared hard enough on Friday to force the evacuation of 1,500 homes and 9,000 people, nearly two dozen conflagrations, officials say, have started accidentally by careless target shooters whose bullet sparks touch off dried-up pinon and wild grasses.

?Now is not a good time to take your gun outside and start shooting in cheat grass that?s tinder dry,? Utah Gov. Gary Herbert said Friday.

While authorities can ban certain fire-related activities when fire risks are high, that?s not true with guns, the carrying and use of which are staunchly protected by state and federal law, including several recent Supreme Court decisions.

?In Utah, for example, a state law prohibits the state from enacting emergency bans on guns, putting Gov. Herbert in a position of instead asking county governments to issue emergency rules for outdoor gun use as wildfire conditions prevail across the West.

In North Carolina, gun rights activists have successfully fought legal battles to make sure governors can?t ban guns during emergencies.

IN PICTURES: Wildfires sweeping the West

Moves to protect gun owners from emergency gun bans is an emerging front in the national debate over gun rights.

In March, a committee in the Colorado legislature killed a proposed bill that would have restricted the state from banning citizen-carry of guns during an emergency. ?Common sense dictates that in an emergency situation? guns only make things worse,? a witness from the League of Women Voters told Colorado legislators at a hearing.

Recent Supreme Court decisions affirming the right of Americans to arm themselves for protection have played a major role in the changing legal dynamic around the citizenry?s ability to access their guns during emergencies.

The Supreme Court decisions have flipped ?the burden onto the government and legislatures to show why they need to restrict what the court has already said is an individual right,? John Velleco, a spokesman for Gun Owners of American, told the World Net Daily news site.

Authorities now say 20 of Utah?s wildfires this year were started by target shooters, compared to 24 in total last year ? with three months left in the western wildfire season. The Dump fire near Saratoga Springs, Utah, started near a landfill when the spark from a bullet hitting a rock set off a patch of grass, which then quickly spread, fueled by dry conditions and gale-force winds.

Colorado officials are also trying to figure out if the 1,200 acre Lake George wildfire was sparked by a ricocheting bullet.

Although this has been a fairly standard year for wildfires following the massive Texas wildfires in 2011, hundreds of fires have burned and dozens continue to burn in places like Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, and New Mexico, where the state?s largest wildfire ever is still smoldering through the Gila National Forest. The Fort Collins fire in Colorado has destroyed nearly 200 homes and caused one death.

Humans, whether accidentally or on purpose, start six times as many fires as lightning in the US every year. Activities such as barbecuing and camping-related fires are often cited as causes of wildfires, while arson or careless disposal of cigarettes also remain problems. Authorities regularly target such activities under emergency wildfire declarations.

When it comes to shooting guns on the tinder-dry western plateaus, though, even local authorities so far have refrained from trying to impose emergency bans on shooting, instead urging gun owners to voluntarily refrain from loading up and heading out to the range.

?Citizens do not surrender their civil rights just because of a natural or man-made disaster,? Alan Gottlieb, the founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, said in support of a lawsuit in North Carolina filed by gun owners after a 2010 snow storm put a gun ban into effect.?

Teaching Business Ethics: Evolution of Human Rights and ...

After scanning through Talbott's excellent book Which Rights Should Be Universal? and doing some more research on the origins of the new wave of interest in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), I developed the diagram below. Talbott points out that from a historical perspective the evolution of rights finds its origins in repression. Eventually, the oppressed realize that oppression is not in their interest and the oppressors would not wish the same treatment for themselves. The natural human urges for equality and autonomy assert themselves and revolution occurs. Revolutions may be violent as in 1776 or "quiet" as the fall of communism in 1989. Add to this the influence of thinkers like Locke and Kant who provide the rational basis for rights and the evolutionary progress toward globally accepted standards of rights begins. This process is a great example of the process of discovery of moral truths. It fits the the theory of ethical realism that I use in my courses.

Corporations, which are quasi-persons in the global community, have responded by recognizing the rights of employees and agreeing to support various human rights. This does not solve the dilemmas faced by MNCs by any means. Indeed, it amplifies them. Because some nations are unwilling or unable to enforce even elementary human rights and their corporate-based offshoots, such as protection for whistle-blowers, the responsibility has fallen to MNCs. Add to this concerns about what in my (present) opinion are the extended and dubious "rights" associated with living standards, social security, and health care (item 25 of the Universal Declaration, 1948). How many of these kinds of "rights" will MNCs be responsible for? Fortunately, the U.N. global compact is blissfully short and puts emphasis on the problems that are more directly addressable through corporate guidelines (bribery, child labor, environmental issues).

The diagram is meant for review, as part of new materials I am developing on these issues. I tried to use images that I thought would not infringe on any copyrights, but frankly I find the copyright "information" that appears on Google Images to be less than helpful.
